Making your own healthy chocolate at home is easier than you think!  All you need are a few simple ingredients, a pot and bowl, a whisk, parchment paper or a mould to pour your chocolate into.  That’s it.  Well worth the time and energy to create.

Preparation:

Simply bring a large pot filled ¼ with water to a slow boil and put the cacao butter in a double boiler and slowly melt over medium to low heat. When it’s melted, add in your chocolate and remove from heat and stir with your wooden spoon until melted.  Add your sweetener and 3 tbsp of hemp seeds.  Pour into your mould or onto the parchment paper on a cookie sheet and spread it as thick or as thin as you desire.  Put it into the freezer to chill for an hour.

Recipe:

1 cup cacao butter

¾ cup cacao powder or cacao paste chunks (this is what I use)

2 tbsp maple syrup

3 tbsp hemp seeds
