One day a friend and I were in his home recording studio working on one of my songs.  About 4 hours into we were starving! It was late and we didn’t want to order out or leave the creative groove we were in to go and try to hunt down some food. So, I went and looked in their fridge and they had just picked a fresh squash from their garden.

With the creative energy flowing, I pulled out my hemp seeds, found all their spices, and went to town.

He did the chopping and I pealed. We threw it all in the blender raw and we adjusted the taste as we went along. Voila!! It turned out spectacular. He was blown away at how fast and easy it was to whip up and I inspired him to eat at home more often!

We put it on the stove for some gentle warming and served it with some gluten free pita bread.  

Recipe:

  • 1 squash peeled and diced
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 diced apple
  • 1 tbs curry
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp raw ginger
  • 2 tbs Hemp oil
  • 3 cups homemade hemp milk
  • 1/4 tsp dill
  • 1 tbs maple syrup

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend till smooth.

Continue to blend till warm of you have a high powered blender.

Or warm gently on the stove.
